If you are like most people before you brought your hot tub home you poured concrete or laid down cement blocks.
By not properly installing your hot tub on a 4X4 base you risk cracking the acrylic or rotting out the bottom on your hot tub over time.
When a hot tub sits directly on concrete or cement the bottom cannot breathe. When water splashes over the sides of the hot tub or when it rains, the water pools under the bottom of the hot tub allowing the bottom to deteriorate.
Further, cement blocks and concrete will settle over time and it is difficult to shim up a piece of concrete.
We strongly urge all hot tub owners to place their hot tubs on 4X4 pressure treated bases. The bases are easy enough to build and we can tell you how to do that. Or, you can contract with us to do it for you.
A 4X4 pressure treated base will take only a day or two plete and will cost you $135.00 per foot for the size you require, which is usually the size of your hot tub. This price includes materials, gravel and labour to build and install the base in your yard
Note: If extreme leveling is required due to significant grades, the extra labour will be charged at a rate of $120.00/hour, plus any additional materials, plus tax.
