Wanted: Cedar logs for shingle wood WANTED
Description : 15 May, 2023
We are looking for cedar logs suitable for milling into cedar shingles. We DO NOT require sawlog quality. We are looking for material that would otherwise be left in the bush or be shipped to the panies.
We will accept material with; 8" diameter top and over 8'-6" in length (However, we will not refuse longer lengths) Seam Sweep is not docked Up to half of the diameter being rot on one end. (example: a 12" butt with 6" of rot is acceptable)
No broken wood or forks No wood that has been on the ground for more than 8 months.
Despite these exclusions; We won't turn back a load that has a few pieces that are sub-specification.
Please call as I would prefer to discuss volume, location and other details so I can look at the logs before shipment. Scaled using a modified Ontario Log Rule FOB our yard.
