COURSE OVERVIEW

This is a preparatory course for individuals seeking employment or apprenticeships in the tattoo and piercing industry. The course has been designed to give a student significant theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of body piercing. pletion of this course does not make you a professional piercer or a certified piercer although a certificate is given pletion. The certificate represents pletion of the course and the theory and practical knowledge to take on an apprenticeship or start working directly with another experienced piercer. The average piercing apprenticeship lasts six months to one year depending on the studio or individual do the training. pleting your apprenticeship and ing proficient in all piercings including genital piercings only then should you refer to yourself as a professional piercer.

There are other courses that offer training over one weekend which approximately equals 18 hours of training at a cost of $1500 to $2500. These courses are misleading people into thinking that they are certified professional piercers. There is no certification for piercers in Canada currently so that is why it is so important for current piercers and prospective piercers to educate themselves as much as possible. It is through this education and training which will allow you and the industry to maintain the standards of safety and professionalism. There is additional training you should seek out such as First Aid, C.P.R., Infection Control and Bloodborne Pathogen. (Included with the (12) week course)

This is a (12) week theory and practical course. This course will cover all aspects of North American and European Body Piercing. This course will consist of (6) hour classes, which will be held every Sunday from 10am until 4:30 pm with a half hour lunch break. Every class will be 3 hours of theory and 3 hours of hands-on learning. Only students taking the (12) week course will be required to bring subjects for their practical piercings. If there is a problem getting subjects, we can provide them for you.

STUDENT REQUIREMENTS

All students in the (12) week course must pierce a minimum of 2 piercings per course selected body parts. All students who want to receive their certificate must pierce 10 of the 20 listed piercings. You must perform 2 successful for each of the 10 which equals a total of 20 piercings. If time doesn’t permit one piercing performed well will be sufficient but if time does permit more piercings can performed for additional practice. All students will be responsible for supplying their own subjects, but if there is a problem getting subjects, we can provide them for you. The piercings are free, but all subjects or students must cover a $10 material fee for each piercing.

All students will be required to bring binders and materials necessary for note taking.

COURSE SUPPLIED MATERIALS

1. Demonstrations of all covered piercings. 2. Course handouts. 3. All piercing instruments and needles are supplied in class. Out of class practicing expenses are cover by the student. 4. All relevant equipment is covered during training. 5. All students will receive continued technical support and information pletion of the course by contacting the instructor. 6. Individual instruction for a fee during or after pletion of the course. 7. A PDF version of Netter’s Atlas of Human Anatomy 8. Bloodborne Pathogen Training 9. 4 Instructional Piercing Video’s

Course Price List Per Student

One Person (12 Week Theory and Practical Course) $2500.00 + HST Per Student.

We always have 5 students so your 12-week course will cost $2000 + HST Per Student.

BloodBorne Pathogen Training (1 Hour Certificate Course) $200.00 + HST Per Student.

Bloodborne Pathogen Training is included with the 12-week course but can be offered separately to any individual wanting the course.

3 students are required to run a course at $2500 plus HST per student. 4 students would be $2250 plus HST per student. 5 students would be $2000 plus HST per student.

It is to your advantage to try to find a friend or someone you know who is also interested in body piercing.

All registration fees must be paid in full prior to starting the course. We accept Visa, Master Card, Cash, Debit and Certified Cheque.

Next course starts April 9, 2023 and must have a minimum of 3 student to run.
