Vintage SONY TC-U2 Classic Silverface Stereo Cassette Player

A vintage Sony TC-U2 cassette player, this is an early 1979 collectible model with great Sony build quality. In very good operating condition and cosmetically excellent, near-mint. This early silverface dual-head model has the thick blue tinted glass covers on the VU meters and cassette tray. The large VU meters work well, and have new lamps. Soft eject mechanism. New belt just installed. Plays normal, ferrichrome and chromium dioxide tapes. Serviced including heads cleaned, switches and controls cleaned and lubricated, and cleaned inside and out. Includes 14-page service manual copy, brochure copy, Operating Instructions copy for similar TC-U30. 12 pounds, 16 by 10 by 6 inches, serial number 701796. $275 or best offer.
