Vintage - Rupert The Daily Express Annuals $15—$50

3 excellent copies of the long-running Rupert Bear Annual. First Published in 1936, it has been issued every year in the UK since - without fail, even receiving special permission to continue it's annual issue printing during the war-years in spite of a paper shortage!
There is no shortage of [average] copies in general - but pristine copies - with no price clipping, unsigned name pages and unread, are far mon. Not under any pressure to sell, prices are non-negotiable.
$15 - Original copy of the 1987 annual. Brilliant condition. Cover shows Rupert with a parrot on his shoulder illustrated by John Harrold. First story is Rupert and the River Pirates. Book is in perfect condition no marks or damage, contents and cover colors are really bright and crisp, the name page is clean and clear.
$40 - Original copy of the 1975 annual. Brilliant condition. Cover shows Rupert talking to merboy who is in the sea and holding shell full of fruit. Spine is perfect, pages are white and tight (notably unread/unhandled). There are 3 tiny >1mm nicks in the coating of the very top of the front right edge. Appears to have been packed away rather too tight and shows some small bends at the spines top and bottom corner tips. No other dents or damage inside or out. Not price-clipped (80p), name page untouched. Contents and cover colors are really bright and crisp. An exceptional copy.
$50 - Original copy of the 1976 annual - again, brilliant condition. Cover shows Rupert waving with a toy train under his arm. First story is Rupert and the Jumping Men. Spine is excellent, pages tight, corners lightly bumped. Tiny tear on bottom edge of first page. Very pale page edge tan visible when the book is closed pared next to the 1975 volume above. Cover and colors inside are bright and crisp. Not price-clipped (90p). Name box unmarked - also a fantastic copy.
