GORGEOUS, VINTAGE EMERALD AND GENUINE PEARL NECKLACE WITH PENDANT MADE OF LABRADORITE AND MOONSTONE IN SOLID STERLING SILVER. TO REACH ME, PLEASE TEXT AT 416-315-2903.
* This stunning emerald, pearl and gemstone pendant is incredibly novel and beautiful. * When fastened, the pendant measures 24" and I estimate it features more than 50 carats of precious and semi-precious gemstones. * 20 precious emerald beads are faceted and interspersed between a wealth of beautiful pearls with incredible lustre. * The beautiful silver clasp is embellished with a large baroque glistening pearl. The back of that clasp has been beautifully carved -- which demonstrates tremendous design. The piece is finished with flair even in the areas that won't be seen. * The pendant (included in the 24") is a bination of 4 blue/green faceted labradorite set in a silver bezel. * The labradorite is finished with a pear shaped moonstone that glows like a crystal ball. * And the middle of these gemstones is accented by a large baroque pearl -- also set in a silver bezel. * The bale is a secure piece of silver accented by silver rosettes on each side. * This necklace was purchased at a renowned vintage store where the owners access gem stones during their travels. They were fortunate to travel down the Nile River and negotiated for these emeralds on their way. The ancient emerald mines close to the Nile are legendary and survived since Roman times. * Most early jewelry pieces with documented emeralds date from the Graeco-Roman period (approximately 50 BC to 395 AD). Presumably, emeralds had both an artistic and symbolic or religious importance to their owners. * The solid silver setting and wealth of gemstones are why this piece weighs 52 grams. * Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you're interested in this gorgeous and novel piece.
