In the 1970s and 80s, SAE produced high-quality audio products. pany was sold in 1988 and quality dropped afterwards. This Circa-1978 model 2200 is from the early days when gifted designers like Jim Bongiorno used of ponents and excellent design, to produce amplifiers that delivered superb sound quality. The 2200 is a beefy amp with a toroid power transformer and weighs 28 pounds.
The 2200 amplifier is designed for rack mounting but also has rubber feet. It has a thick aluminum faceplate with LED power level indicators

Condition This amplifier was just serviced by an experienced audio technician. One channel was repaired, bias and DC offset were adjusted, and parts were replaced as required. It is fully tested and ready to use. Measured output was 105 watts into an 8-ohm load. The faceplate is in very good condition with some wear from rack-mounting. All LEDs are working. The enclosure shows wear to the black paint/anodizing on corners from use.
