If you make it clear that you have not bothered to read my ad, I will not respond to you at all.
Selling my Classic Mini Project. Purchased back in 2008 and spent 2 years working on it. The plan was to make a vintage rally style Mini. I then moved and the car has been collecting dust for over 10 years.
Update: This is an unfinished project and is not "on the road" I have never had it registered or insured, and I have no idea where it was last registered. Shortly after posting this ad, I went looking for the serial number, and all I was able to find is the &mission number tag". I believe I disposed of the serial number when replacing panels. It would take a considerable amount of work before you could drive it. Will post more photos.
I have no idea if the mileage is correct but the odometer appears to be rolling to 47,000, not that it matters because everything is new / rebuilt.
Stripped all parts off body. All rusty panels cut out. Many body panels replaced and everything was coated in Eastwood epoxy primer.
Bottom of car coated in Gator Guard bed liner.
Rear subframe replace with adjustable race unit.
Front subframe stripped blasted and coated in rubberized bed liner.
Shocks replaced with GAZ coilovers. All bearings and bushings replaced and adjustable lower control rods installed.
Rear brakes upgraded to alloy drums with all new hardware, new wheel bearings, new brake cylinders and stainless braided brake lines.
Front brakes upgraded to discs, with all new parts. Callipers, hubs, stainless beaded lines, wheel bearings etc. All new hard brake lines were installed, new brake and clutch master cylinders.
Brand new set of CMW 3 piece racing wheels with ADVAN 032R tires. The car has moved a total of about 40 feet since install.
Upgraded 1275 (was a 998) Was stripped down including the transmission, and had any questionable parts replaced including bearings, seals gears and shafts etc. Has a total of 7 Km on since the body work, suspension, brakes and engine rebuild.
I have all of the glass in great shape. I have a bunch of stuff like new carpet, door handles, trunk latch handles as well as hardware, trim and some old seatbelts and interior junk.
This is an plete project and would take some work / setup before it was road worthy. The body is rust free and very solid, but I had no intention of making this a show car and was not fussy about cosmetics. If you wanted to pretty it up, you would be starting with something solid. Seats are there and in one piece but need to be refinished. The front fenders and hood are not attached. I was going to make the whole front removable for maintenance. It could be finished in this way or simply give up on that and welded into place permanently. Most / all of the wiring was stripped and temporary wiring was installed. The key switch is butchered, my plan to strip pletely and rewire the whole thing.
At least one of the frost plugs leaked when I had it running this summer and the radiator is questionable. I’m not desperate to sell this car, but it has just been literally collecting dust for over 10 years and a storage spot for my recyclables. If for some reason you think you need this car in your life, you may be able to convince me to sell it. It is a project car that needs lots of work, but most of the major work is already done. Reasonable offers will be considered, but keep in mind, the brand new wheels and tires cost over $3200.
I have some (bad) photos of the project from the day I brought it home, on my facebook. There are 4 albums I believe. ?set=a.22261341350&type=3
