This incredible piece has been handcrafted and manufactured by professional workers in Afghanistan through a mosaic technique bines thin layers of semi-precious stone native to the country known as Lapis Lazuli. The process involves cutting the hard Lapis Lazuli to create this intense opaque blue coffee table. The table features a luxurious and refined personality as seen in the photos. This table could be customized in terms of shape, size, and dimension as per customer requirement.
Manufacturing Process:
The arduous plex process of manufacturing the table begins by selecting the highest quality Lapis Lazuli available from the local mines of Badakhshan province located in the northern region of Afghanistan. The skilled workers then roll out a base table made out of iron (in order to allow for easy movement). The next steps include slicing off and smoothing the finest parts of Lapis Lazuli into numerous 1 cm layers, polishing bining the layers using the mosaic technique. Highest quality adhesives are used to ensure the stone layers remain bonded when integrated and the pieces remain intact when placed on the iron sub table which creates a stunning yet durable table made out Lapis Lazuli stones.
