Tom and Jerry short cartoon animations are attributed to Hanna & Barberra at MGM in the 1940s. They are still shown today. Tom and ics began in 1942 in “Our Gang” comics which in 1949 was renamed “Tom and Jerry” and still appear today. The book is all one story on even numbered pages with the odd pages illustrations in black and white. I am not sure if this is a copy made in 2000 of the original 1st edition or the true 1st series. Part of the charm of these books is the lovable imaginary characters that act out violent feelings that even children know is make believe and not correct behavior. Part of the value of this book is it is easy and enjoyable to read.
