A superb record that is still enormously underrated. Some proclaim it a classic, others cast it aside as over-cooked proof of Julian Cope's madness. Influences from Scott Walker & Love to Can & Kraftwerk mix with Julian's own brilliant pop sense. The album is a nice little gem from an audiophile standpoint - the record is immaculately arranged, recorded, engineered, produced, etc. Really top shelf sound quality. Really leaping out of the speakers with a great soundstage & imaging. "Passionate Friend", "The Culture Bunker", "Colours Fly Away" & "The Fighting Takes Over' are a few highlights.
