Teak 76” H tall and narrow bookcase mid-century modern (mcm) 6 shelves 3 moveable c1960s {Bibliothèque haute et étroite en teck de 76 po H moderne du milieu du siècle (mcm) 6 étagères 3 mobiles c1960s}
Description: Beautiful teak grain and red brown gold colouration. Teak veneer over particle board. Three fixed position shelves and three vertically (height) moveable shelves (slide out horizontally along hard steel wire supports). Practical storage and display.
Likely built in Canada or Scandinavia (e.g. Denmark (Danish)), with Scandinavian mcm design principles. Simple, clean lines, space efficient for today’s modern small living spaces.
Even the back of the bookcase is covered in teak veneer, except for the back ends of the top board and three fixed shelves, and the two side boards. So, it was designed to be positioned with its back against a wall.

Dimensions: 76” H x 30.5” W x 12” D; boards 0.75” Thick
Conditions: Excellent vintage condition (9.5 / 10). No veneer chips or cracks on the visible front view surfaces teak. From non-smoking household. Appears that all parts are original. Structurally sound. All joinery tight. The teak veneer on the back has delaminated and cracked in places, however this can be glued back into place and one cannot see it when the back is to a wall.
Minor scratches and water stains to finish on the shelf surfaces (inside lower part of each tier on which the books or other objects sit) and top. A bit of fading on the top surface. Issues can be corrected easily with simple refinishing which includes light sanding, rubbing with very fine steel wool and teak oil application.
