If you're unfamiliar with caring for these carnivorous plants, please read the guide to Sundew care in the link at the bottom of the ad or at least the description below before purchasing.
These are Drosera Spatulata (Spoon-leaved Sundews) which were propagated from a plant that came from New Zealand. I've been growing them since September 2019 and began selling them a few months later. I consider them to be the easiest carnivorous plant to care for, making them an ideal choice for beginners. They love moist soil, high humidity, plenty of indirect sunlight, and cool temperatures. They also don't require a dormancy period which makes them great for all year pest control in places such as terrariums.
As with most carnivorous plants, Sundews can ONLY be watered with mineral-free water and planted in nutrient-poor soil, so all of my plants are grown in trays filled with loosely packed sphagnum peat moss mixed with distilled water. The largest and healthiest plants are transferred into 30ml (8 oz.) domed cups. These cups offer easier care by helping to maintain moisture. The cups will provide a permanent place to grow for a single plant, but sprouts may need to be removed to prevent crowding. Sprouts will appear from exposed roots, near the base of the main plant, or on the leaf ends as they are pushed down into the soil with the appearance of new leaves. Sprouts can be picked with tweezers and planted. They will require extra care to survive, so a domed seed tray or cup is mended.
When their natural food is unavailable, these are fed twice a month with a single spritz of Marphyl Phytoplankton soil enhancer mixed with distilled water at a 1/40 ratio. The concentration is low enough as to not cause harm to the roots or burning on the leaves while providing a good dose of nutrients. I've been using this method for a few years with excellent growth results. You can also feed them rehydrated blood worms using a toothpick or a very light sprinkling of finely crushed flaked fish food, but there is a risk of leaf burn if overfed. Although it isn't necessary for them to survive, feedings do improve growth. Sundews will consume anything that it can trap with its sticky spines, which are primarily small insects such as fruit flies and mosquitos. For pest control, multiple plants are mended for severe insect infestations to avoid overwhelming individual plants. Should the plant die from this or the stress of being moved to a new environment, new plants will often emerge from the dying matter, so wait a few weeks before discarding the plant.
If you have any before or after sale questions, feel free to message me here. My growing methods aren't perfect, though they are improving as I learn more about these plants. All photos are of my plants. Due to constant changes in availability, the cups aren't guaranteed to be the same as those in the photos though I do try to keep them as similar as possible.
