The time e for me to let go of my bone stock 1988 4runner. I have owned this vehicle for the past 7 years and in that time it has been a summer only pavement princess! It is in phenomenal condition for its age with minor rust on the body and the frame still pletely solid. Everything works except for the rear window which quit about 6 years ago. The vehicle is a manual transmission and is equipped with the 22RE motor. 4 wheel drive hi and low all work. The previous owner was a mechanic and he did a lot of work to get this vehicle ready for a road trip to Mexico that ended up falling through. He then sold it to me and I have only put 15,000km on it since purchasing it 7 years ago. Still very mechanically sound and fires up everytime with NO issues. Here are some of the things that have been done to it: -motor was bored and sleeved -clutch was replaced -radiator replaced -mastercylinder replaced -wiring replaced -Muffler was replaced, but has started to leak recently -brakes are at 90% all the way around as of March 3. 2023 -the drivers seat was replaced with a gen 2 4runner seat to make it fortable.
