Develop and prepare accurate, technically plete specifications, and review specifications at Construction Review and Issued for Bid stages, for contracts under the control of the Engineering,
Construction & Expansion (ECE) Group, including the Project Manual (Divisions 01, Technical Specifications (Divisions 02 - 49), and
appendices), Addenda, and Contract Changes (e.g. contemplated change orders, change orders, and change directives).
Provide support to Standards Section for review of Master Specifications and Standard and Directive Drawings
Project Manual:
Write, edit and coordinate with Engineering Department staff (i.e., designers from all engineering disciplines) technical specification sections to precisely reflect contract requirements.
Coordinate with Construction Department staff (i.e., Senior Project Engineers) to ensure Division 01 reflects contract requirements.
Review and ments into the specification sections submitted by Engineering.
Department staff, Construction Department staff, Safety and other affected Departments.
Ensure special instructions from Engineering Department Staff, Construction Department staff and user groups from across client are addressed.
Interpret specification requirements and interface with Procurement and Category.
Management (PCM) Department staff (i.e., Procurement and Contract Specialists) in the preparation of Division 00 (bidding mercial requirements) to ensure written documentation is accurately incorporated into the contract documents.
Check that specifications are accurate, complete, satisfy contract requirements, and conform to client and regulatory requirements.
Minimize gaps, overlaps or inconsistencies between technical sections.
Review consultant-designed specification submissions at established milestones (e.g.,)
Construction Review and Issued for Bid) for errors, omissions, or discrepancies, for review and action by Construction Department staff.
Advise consultants on the technical specification requirements and procedures for clients contracts.
Drawings:
Coordinate specifications with contract drawings to avoid discrepancies, redundancies, errors and omissions.
Review drawings for information issues, quality control, and constructability.
Addenda and Contract Changes:
Prepare Addenda and Contract Changes to amend the Project Manual and/or Drawings for contracts prepared in-house by ECE.
Review Addenda and Contract Changes prepared by the consultant to amend consultant designed contracts.
Master Specifications and Standard and Directive Drawings:
Provide support to Standards Section for review of controlled Engineering Department documents (e.g., Master Specifications and Standard and Directive Drawings) on an as needed basis.
Research new materials and construction techniques to incorporate into the Master Specifications. Review Master Specifications for accuracy pleteness of content, for technical terminology, defined terms, etc.

Provide feedback to Standards Section from lessons learned for inclusion into Master Specifications. Advise Engineering Department staff and technical staff throughout TTC in the use of TTC Master Specifications.
