"I just bought one of these (DVP-NS725P) yesterday. It's AWESOME! I'm using it as a CD/MP3 player. The sound is perfect, and I love the flexible search functions, the resume function, and the solid display right on ponent itself. If there is better CD sound out there, it's not worth the trouble or money to me (and I probably wouldn't believe it anyway). The MP3 capability is quite nice, and the CD resume feature is fabulous. It has variable speed searching which is great if you are concentrating on the details of the music. And it's so small it's very flexibe as to what I do with it (I might even use it as a DVD player sometime!). I like that it shows time elapsed or remaining on the CDs as well as CD text and much of the MP3 text. It's definitely the most convenient and highest quality CD player I've ever owned. "
"Yeah, I've been using the NS725 mainly as a CD player and MP3 player, one nice thing about it is it is sooo quick and responsive to track changes, variable speed fast forward and reverse, resuming, turning on and off, so listening to music es the focus of my attention, not the hardware. As a CD player, it is truly a work of art, IMHO. I did try it out as a DVD player too, and I agree, it's great, it is MUCH faster and easier to use and better designed than my other DVD players (which I actually use as DVD players!).
