For more information, please visit The ASD IT Division of SSI Schafer specifies, designs, and implements software solutions for automated material handling and equipment in warehouses and distribution centers. The Software Developer is responsible for areas of the implementation of solutions for various IT projects, within a cross-functional team. This position requires knowledge of various programming languages, software development tools, software architecture, operating systems, hardware and network design and databases. Core Responsibilities: * Delegate and/or develop code implementations for solution * Hold the position of SDIC for respective projects, if applicable * Design and implement software solutions based on software requirement specifications * Test software implementation against requirements * Create small scale requirement analysis and software specifications * Develop software documentation for implementation * Support IT CSS engineers and on-site Software Support Engineers * Set-up and execute test scenarios for customer and on-site tests * Commission software on-site * Troubleshoot system issues in 1st, 2nd or 3rd level depending on project requirements Additional Responsibilities: * Occasionally perform installation of network puter hardware if required by a project in the office or on-site * Occasionally handle test product required for test scenarios on-site (Tubs, Totes, Cases etc.) Qualification Requirements: * 4-year degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or bination of education and experience in similar work * 1 year of experience with Java or other object-oriented programming languages in a work setting * 1 year of experience with SQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server) * May be required to travel internationally for training, project assignments, missioning * Must be able to work on-call in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd level What's in it for you? * pensation plan * Excellent performance bonuses * RRSP match * Medical, dental, and vision benefits (all premium costs paid by us!) * Educational reimbursement * Work-life balance * Safe work environment * Discount programs and referral incentives * Excellent opportunities for internal growth How to apply?
