Shabby Roses Restyled Antique Dresser!~Chalk Painted / Transfer!

I'm going back to repeating a look that I had used a few years back on a similar dresser...only it didn't have the fabulous mirror this one has. It did have the same transfer and it was one that always stuck with me. Clean, simple and shabbyily aged. This dresser is old and not without blemishes. I don't mind the blemishes at all...I feel they add character and show its true age. Firstly two of the drawers are missing a small portion of wood on each top. So I've built it into its character by distressing the wood even more. I used Dixie Belle's new Silk paint line in Salt Water. This paint is fabulous as it already had a built in top coat and primer. But...being a deep, dark red wood I added a coat of BOSS to help aid in blocking out anymore "bleed through" of the tanins. The Silk paint worked beautifully! I added in a lot of wet distressing here as I wanted this piece the have age. I love the rose transfer and was anxious for the right piece e along to use it again. I added in two new corbels (wub # 6075) to each side by WoodUBend and a small WoodUbend plume (wub # 2163) to the bottom. The drawers all have a decoupage on the side of Dixie Belle's Pallet decoupage paper. The inside drawers are freshened up with Wise Owl furniture salve! Measurements are 36 1/2 " across by 33 " from top to bottom of the dresser (excluding the mirror) and 18 1/2" wide. The beautiful little mirror measures 23" in height.
