The first Rega turntable, the Planet, was launched in 1975. This was followed by the launch in June 1977 of the Planar 3. The Planar 3 turntable established itself as a "threshold" or entry-level for high quality turntables. It became hugely popular and is one of the most well-known turntables ever produced.
I am the original owner, purchased this in 1979 and always well cared for. This was my pride and joy but I'e to terms where it's time to let it go. Very hard to part with. The Belt was replaced a few years ago when the new cartridge was installed and seen very little use since.

Includes: Custom rega wall mount bracket Formula 4 tone arm PL S4/D Glass Platter Felt mat Counter balance weights for tone arm (currently using a small bolt for counter balance with this cartridge and works well) Tone arm lowering device Rega super bias cartridge installed on tone arm currently with maybe 30 hours play time Spare Stanton 881S cartridge also included (still good) Note dust cover has been altered to modate the tone arm, still very presentable. NOTE: The turntable platter is made of Glass and this unit is available by: - Pickup in person located near Madoc, Ontario - Shipping to US and other parts of Canada is the buyers responsibility - There would be a Packing Fee of $50+tax (via my local UPS store and they do a GREAT job, custom cardboard box and packaging material, insurance is $6/$100 PLUS the actual shipping cost) - NO I will NOT absorb the shipping, insurance or any packaging fees.
