Description: Recently refinished beautiful antique quarter sawn tiger oak display cabinet, built circa early 1900s. The exterior has a lovely reddish brown finish. The cabinet has an oak framed glass door and side windows. All three glass panels appear to be original as one can see the waves. The side glass panels are curved and the centre one is flat. Solid oak frame, shelves and legs. Solid board back and bottom boards. Three solid oak hardwood removable shelves with two rear grooves on back end, to display dishes in an upright position. Valance present (back piece on top rear).
Carved front paw feet with wood caster wheels on all 4 legs. Door glass is flat and rectangular. The side glass panels are curved.
Please note that on most photos, except for one, the top valance (back piece on top rear) is not in place. And in all photos, the 3 removable shelves are not in place.
Overall dimensions: 37” Wide x 61” High x 13.75” Deep. Valence: ~10” high Removable shelves dimensions: 33" Long x 10.25" Wide x 0.75" Thick
Condition: Excellent vintage antique condition (9.5 / 10). Has been recently refinished. Likely all original glass. It has the original wooden caster wheels and the front paw feet are intact – which is rare.
There are some minor superficial scratches, and minor scuff marks present, mostly on the legs. Likely original glass – all intact, with no cracks or chips. Structurally intact, with all joinery tight. From a smoke free household.
The inside bases of the curved side glass panels should be better secured, as they are slightly loose on the bottom inside edge, due to loose trim. Can see clear tape along bottom and top inside edges of some photos Can use about 8 more 1/2" finishing nails and or silicone caulk to better secure in place.
