Red Cherry Shrimp for sale in Truro. $2.00 each. min. of 5 for $10. Sold in lots of 5 no less. Neocaridina Red cherry shrimp grow up to 1.25 inches long. Because of their small size they are often eaten by bigger fish, however there are some fish that don’t prey on shrimp. They are sensitive to slight changes in water conditions, so only 40% water changes at a time when cleaning and acclimate by slowly adding the new water to the bag or tank for 15-30mins. Behaviour: Cherry shrimp live in the lower region of freshwater aquariums. They are fortable in groups of 3 or more. They hide in caves and behind plants for the first few weeks after being introduced to a new tank. The shrimp should eventually fortable, explore their surroundings and scavenge for food. Cherry shrimp enjoy eating algae from the walls, rocks, and surfaces in the tank. Care Requirements: 18–28°C Temperature, 6.5–8.0 pH Clean water: Cherry shrimp are sensitive to nitrite and ammonia spikes. Sponge filters are safest for shrimp. Water changes no more than 40%. Food: Fish food, shrimp pellets, frozen bloodworms/brine shrimp, algae wafers, algae growth and boiled vegetables.
