Four vintage DBX pressors. Some signs of wear, not bad, working and sounding great.
Two original 163 with all the mojo, two 163X with more control. Very reminiscent of original 160VU, more crunch and bite than 160A and 560A, the “more” fader is awesome haha. They’re a real sleeper, super affordable way to get that sound, a secret weapon for drums. As 160VU’s e less attainable, and 160A and 560A’s lack character, 163’s gain notice, one day they’ll be like every other vintage piece, get em while they’re cheap!
They're most useful in four's for drums, so I’m selling as a group. Rack kits are hard to find, tops have original ears, I made plates to join them, bottoms are bolted in a rack shelf with room for the wood cheeks. Rack shelf also serves as place for cabling, power bar and balancing converters if you want long cable runs. I have an ART CleanBox to make the bottom two XLR.
