Pat Quinn inducted into Ring of Honour

Vancouver, B.C. – Pat Quinn and his lifetime of contributions to the Vancouver Canucks were honoured tonight when he became the fifth member of the Vancouver Canucks Ring of Honour, joining other great Canucks, including Orland Kurtenbach, Kirk McLean, Thomas Gradin and Harold Snepsts. Quinn was joined on the ice by his wife Sandra, daughters Kalli and Valerie, and Valerie’s husband Rick and their children Quinn and Kate and Kylie. President of Hockey Operations Trevor Linden also participated by escorting the Quinn family to the ice and Hall of Fame broadcaster Jim Robson hosted the special ceremony.
Quinn’s Ring of Honour Night featured an on-ice presentation, a video tribute and the unveiling of a permanent in-arena display in the Ring of Honour. Each fan in attendance received memorative Pat Quinn pin as a keepsake from the memorable celebration of one of the franchise’s icons.

Pat Quinn’s Career:
· Served as General Manager of the Vancouver Canucks from 1987.88 to 1997.98 and as Head Coach from 1990.91 to 1993.94 and 1995.96.
· As General Manager, he drafted Trevor Linden and Pavel Bure, and acquired Markus Naslund through trade; prise three of the four players in club history to have their numbers retired.
· Accumulated a record of 141-111-28 during the regular season with Vancouver as a Head Coach, ranking fourth in club history for most wins and third for highest winning percentage.
· Led the Canucks to a record of 31-30 in the postseason, ranking second in club history for most playoff wins and postseason winning percentage.
· Led the team to a Stanley Cup Final Appearance in 1994.
· Won the Jack Adams Award in 1992 for NHL Coach of the Year with Vancouver; previously won the Jack Adams Award in 1980 with the Philadelphia Flyers.
· Spent two seasons with the Canucks as a defenceman (1970-71 to 1971-72), collecting 18 points (4-14-18) and 212 penalty minutes in 133 games.
Ring of Honour:
· Launched during the Vancouver Canucks 40th anniversary to celebrate Canucks heroes who have made a lasting impact on the franchise.
· Pat Quinn will e the fifth Canuck to join the ring of honour since its inception in the 2010.11 season.
· Ring of Honour candidates are selected by an mittee, including former player and coach and current Senior Advisor to the General Manager & Director, Player Development, Stan Smyl, Hockey Hall of Fame broadcaster, Jim Robson and former Canucks staff member of over 30 years, Norm Jewison. in awesome condition please buy
