Perfect precise and sweet sound with excellent tape stability (very low wow and flutter). If your own SW88V/SW99V does not sound like that it needs service.
The SW88V and SW99V are the same models, they share the same service manual and are identical except SW99V has one extra feature, VMSS that adds extra vibrations to the bass. With SW88V already having a Super Bass system the VMSS is not needed for 99% of the people.
Complete 2-hrs maintenance service done 07/2022:
* Taken apart; * Cleaned and detailed in and out; * Old belt removed; * Old rubber residue cleaned with iso alcoh0l; * All moving parts/shafts and motor lubed using premium syntec oil; * All controls/switches deoxed/lubed/protected using pro grade D100/G5/F5 sprays ($126/3 cans); * New belt installed; * Motor speed multi-step adjusted to be perfect using 3000Hz tone tape; * Reassembled; * Tape path and heads cleaned; * Head demagnetized; * Fully tested; works like new
