For Sale: Omega Speedmaster X-33 Gen. 1 with the Quartz Omega calibre 1666 movement.
Case diameter 42mm excluding crown ~45mm including. This measures 48.5mm lug to lug with a 20mm lug width and 15mm thick.
This is on an OEM Titanium bracelet modate a wrist size approximately up to 7-3/4" with additional holes.
The first generation Omega X33 also known as the “Mars Watch”, the X-33 was designed for the possibility of man landing on the red planet. It took five years of collaborative development between OMEGA and the world’s major space agencies, as well as the USN “Blue Angels” and the USAF “Thunderbirds”. With its futuristic design, it was worn on board NASA’s space shuttles and the Russia MIR Space Station.
This impressive quartz movement features a mixture of displays. Firstly, there is an analogue inclusion for the hour, minute and seconds display, and then a ring-shaped digital display for a second full set of functions. As it was created with the assistance of American and European astronauts, some of those functions include the elapsed time for a mission duration of up to 1000 days, as well as strong lighting thanks to an electroluminescent foil.
