OCTAGONAL BEVELLED GLASS PERFUME ATOMIZER - like new

This unusual atomizer was a gift to me 35-40 years ago. It's never been filled, always just on display, and still looks like new. There are no chips or scratches, no stains on the bulb fabric, and no smells or odours. The bulb still works (pushes out air). It measures 3" high and the bulb is 2" long.
What makes it seem unusual to me is that the glass has been cut into an octagonal shape, 8 sides, and has a curved inside cavity, and where the sides meet, the edges have been bevelled (sloped). No makers mark, and I don't know who made it.
