Nikonos Close Up Diopter Kit In Very Good Condition

This was purchased new for $219 USD approximately 20 years ago. In original packaging, soft carrying case and instructions included. The Nikonos close up lens attachment set patible with Nikonos III, Nikonos IV-A and Nikonos V underwater camera systems and can be used on land or in the water. Includes close-up attachment for 28, 35 or 80mm lens with supporting rod to attach it to camera, 3 field frames matched to those areas, and frame support bracket, to determine camera-subject distance. Allows close-up photography without using the camera's viewfinder, with magnification factor of 2.2X to 6X depending on the lens in use. The bracket got slightly bent at one end approximately 15 years ago when a dive buddy accidentally stepped on it, so it was repaired by straightening it out, then reinforcing the area with "Knead It Underwater Polymer Repair" as shown in the photo. This repair has been very durable and solid since then. The system is designed to be used with Nikonos cameras, but certainly could be used with any camera as its basically just an external diopter, and the supporting rod is designed to fit perfectly into a a standard hot shoe flash attachment as found on most SLR cameras. If used with another lens other than a 28 mm, 35 mm, or 80 mm, the framers would probably not be exactly accurate, depending on the lens being used of course. This could be determined with some experimentation. In the photos I have included a scan of the unit attached to a Nikonos camera, to demonstrate how its attached, but please note that no camera is being offered for sale with the close up kit. Amazon lists this unit used at $63 available only from only 1 seller, and on eBay the price range is from $56 to $200, so I have priced it very inexpensively at $50 "to sell". Price firm.
