Need a helping hand not a handout.....please read .

I had to leave my place of employment and while waiting to find and start another job it has left me in a horrible predicament financially. This is not my style whatsoever (....asking for help) Although I am working full-time, I have no money for groceries or gas to and from work until my first pay. I am having my children/grandchild for dinner this weekend (Monday). Would be grateful for any help anyone can offer. Either gift cards, cash, whatever you might have laying around that you don't want would be a huge help to me. I have already been without any money well over a month and won't have my first pay for another week still but just can't make ends meet till then. I have exhausted every resource I can think plus borrowing from family so I have nowhere else I can turn. I appreciate any help anyone can give. Can pick up or meet if downtown or uptown area....I am a cleaner and a very good one at that. Not looking for handouts so I am willing to offer my services for help as well. Thank you! Please show me this city still cares for their own as I've had almost 100 views and not one response.... :(
