These are Cree Secret Pouches, and were originally used to carry trinkets and/or medicines and sacred plants. There are no clasps, zippers, buttons or strings to keep them closed, and it is a secret to open it. You could throw this purse full of coins at someone and never loose a coin. As you see in the picture, it is worn by folding it over your belt, waistline of your pant...or if like me when you wear chaps riding your Harley, a good item for coins at those coffee stops. The coins in the last picture ARE NOT part of my offering, but shows how much coin and weight that these little purses can hold. Identification cards such as Driver's license, Birth Certificates, Medical cards... and important medicines like Nitro for heart patients can fit into this little pouch. Each Pouch is hand-sewn and beaded, like my gauntlets, and are $30.00; then $20.00 each additional purse you purchase. The bottom rows in the pictures are all plain for those who want utility over beauty. I will also post other colors and some with fringes in the future.

NOTE: Medical Users, these pouches are great for holding onto rolled or packed goods. The smell will stay in the bag...instead of your clothes. Food for thought if you have to work with the public.
