Math Tutor - Experienced Math Professor and Contest Instructor

Online Math Tutoring to high school (Gr7-12, AP), and first and second-year college and university students. Private One-on-One, Group of Two, or Group of Five classes.
Students can enroll in one of the following classes depending on their needs: Math Contest Prep Class, Math Enrichment Class, Math Tutoring Class, Provincial Math Exam Prep Class.
Math Contest Prep Class For above-average students who want to improve their scores in various national math contests through in-depth and focused training on selected topics. The contents are carefully designed from national and international contest preparation books and actual contest problems. Offered one session (2 hours) per week throughout the year.
Math contests covered: Gauss (Gr. 7-8), Pascal (Gr. 9), Cayley (Gr. 10), Fermat (Gr. 11), Euclid (Gr. 12); Fryer (Gr. 9), Galois (Gr. 10), Hypatia (Gr. 11); COMC/CIMC/CSMC (Gr. 10-12).
Only students who have a grade of 85% or higher from their school's math class will be considered for the Math Contest Prep Class.
Rate for Contest Prep Class: $55/hour for One-on-One Class; $45/person/hour for Group of Two Class; $40/person/hour for Group of Five Class
Math Enrichment Class For above-average students who want to stay ahead, or like to learn more with more challenging contents and practice questions. The contents are chosen mainly from a math series of widely used and classic U.S. textbooks, as well as some Canadian and Chinese text/reference books. Offered one session (2 hours) per week throughout the year.
Only students who have a grade of 80% or higher from their school's math class will be considered for the Math Enrichment Class.
Math Tutoring Class For both high school and university students who have difficulties in understanding their class contents, or don't know how to solve assignment problems or how to prepare for their exams. The contents will be specially designed for each student after discussions with the student and/or the parents. Offered on demand.
Provincial Math Exam Prep Class For Gr11-12 students who want to be better prepared for the provincial math exam (Pre-Calculus 12 Math Achievement Test). The contents are carefully designed from various text and reference books and past exam problems. Offered on demand.
Rate for Enrichment, Tutoring, and Provincial Math Exam Prep Classes: $44 - $50/hour for One-on-One Class; $38 - $43/person/hour for Group of Two Classes
Lessons can be taught in English or Mandarin.
Certified Math teacher with outstanding teaching skills. Experienced University Math professor and High School Math teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience. Experienced Math Contest/Mathematical Olympiad instructor. PhD Candidate in both Mathematics and Computer Engineering. Previous Member of the Chinese Mathematical Society (CMS). Previous Member of the American Mathematical Society (AMS).
