MacBook Pro 15" Early 2008 (Japanese Keyboard)+Orig Restore DVD (Leopard)+Snow Leopard DVD+Upgraded Memory (4GB) & Hard Drive (SSD 240GB)+iLife & iWork DVDs+Case+New Battery! Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 currently installed, can be upgraded to Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 (the latest Mac OS you can install on this Mac) for free from Apple's website but I will leave that to you to do.

I'm the original owner. Every single original accessory is included (down to the tiniest plug cap!) --- except for the original box that it came in. Bought this when I was living in Japan in 2008. It has Japanese keyboard but it works for any languages including English, of course! Big ++ for folks typing in Japanese regularly. The literatures are all in Japanese but the Install DVD is multilingual. I used this Mac primarily in English MacOS.

There is still room to upgrade the memory from 4GB to 6GB (2GB + 4GB module -- Apple does not mention it but it is known to work). You can buy the 6GB kit here:

Please note that this Mac is no longer supported by modern versions of popular web browsers as it is already considered as "vintage". This is now more like a collectible item for collectors of Macs.

A mon manufacturing issue with this Mac is the faulty display and logic board. I had the display replaced in 2010 and the logic board in 2012 both at the Apple Store in Square One.

New battery! Just bought it April last year from Other World Computing (OWC) - NewerTech brand which is probably the best battery replacement brand for this old MBPro.

PLEASE NOTE:

I think there is a hardware issue on the Magsafe power port in terms of charging the battery. In order to charge the battery, I would gently wiggle the power adapter port while connected to the power port of the machine until the LED on the adapter port lights up. You can also tap the port gently several times. After the LED lights up, it might turn off again but the battery will keep charging (look at the battery icon on the menu bar on the screen). If you do not have time doing all these, just keep the Mac plugged in at all times and don't let the battery drain.

There is a small chip on the top left corner of the aluminum case on the display panel. I have never ever dropped this machine and so I really don't know how it broke -- but it does not affect the performance of the machine at all. You can hardly notice it actually. Please refer to one of the photos I posted. As a bonus, I will be including a Crumpler 15" High School Hymn case - probably the best case you can get for this Mac. This Mac had always been kept inside this case and that's why this Mac is still in great shape after all these years.

I have also noticed that the USB ports work better with USB 2.0 and lower as it is an older machine. You can use USB 3.0 but you will need to repeatedly insert and take it out until the Mac recognizes it, sometimes you may even need to wiggle it a bit for the Mac to recognize it.
