Lovely Iwatsu SS-5212 Oscilloscope

A full featured 15Mhz analog 2 channel scope well designed and made in Japan. Unlike US scopes, it's amazingly silent. No fans. Does not sound like a vacuum cleaner and doesn't seem to get hot.
Located near Kennedy and Sandalwood in Brampton.
All controls fully functional. The only slight defect is Ch 1 coupling mode slide switch (AC - GRD - DC) is harder to pared to Ch 2. Still works fine.
Nice control layout. Many scopes have too many controls and hard to find the adjustment. Everything is easy to find. For example, 10X volt gain, 10X time zoom are red pull out knob in the center of the adjustment knobs. This declutters the front panel.
Sharp display. Intensity, focus and scale illumination works well. Traces are narrow after focusing.
Control knobs are tight, no slop. Slight noise when turning Ch 1 and 2 V/div knob to the highest sensitivity. 500V max inputs.
Pots and switches cleaned with Deoxit D5. Faceplate and knobs cleaned too.
Quite portable weighs less than 10 pounds. Handle on the side makes it easy to carry. Feet on 3 sides so it can be laid in any orientation.
Gained a lot of respect for Japanese design and quality from this unfamiliar brand scope.
