Louis XV hand carved Chaise Percee mode (toilet) cover with cane and wood frame. Height to top back 22.5” x height of rear opening 15.75” x 22.5” wide x 23” deep **** PICK UP ONLY, WINCHESTER AND PARLIAMENT STREET IN TORONTO (just south of Bloor / west of the don valley / north of Carlton street / east of Jarvis street) The Chaise Percee was used by the wealthy and royals to cover up a chamber pot. French for “pierced chair” and known in France as “chaise nécessaire,” Currently they are used rather whimsically by those who appreciate a little wit in their powder room! In fact, Elvis sported one at Graceland (currently on display at the Gettysburg museum: see picture)!
