Our boutique features an eclectic selection of trendy, affordable fashions, including jewellery, handbags and footwear, as well as a fantastic suite of shabby-chic furniture and décor. We are planning to develop our business further through online-to-offline model, and we need a Logistics Manager to grow with us.
Job Description Job Title: Logistics Manager (NOC 10012) Position Available:1 Location: Parksville, British Columbia, Canada Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $48/hr, 30 hours/week
Job Responsibilities: Develop, implement and execute purchasing policies, procedures, strategies, and business processes. Utilize data analysis, business intelligence, and reporting tools to forecast supply and material needs. Analyze and investigate actual vs. budgeted cost variances of procure initiatives; implement key metrics to monitor and improve cost savings, efficiency and effectiveness of logistics activities. Guide the purchasing team on vendor management (cost, quality, delivery, etc);develop and maintain KPIs or other methods to evaluate suppliers’ performance and implement improvements. Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to petitive service rates; identify discrepancies between contracts and goods received; effectively resolve any discrepancies or issues with invoicing, credit issuing, and inventory adjustments, etc. Develop partnerships with logistics providers to successfully execute the movement of goods, both local, regional, and global; attend trade shows as necessary. Lead and optimize cross-border logistics and warehouse operation plans and processes, integrate internal and external resources, and continuously improve service levels, customer experience and maximize cost-effectiveness. Plan, formulate, and co-ordinate inventory counting, responsible for warehouse data statistics and operation; ensure delivery time and reasonable storage of goods. Review, analyze and suggest improvements regarding quality, safety, and standard operating procedures; provide training to the staff and increase internal productivity.
Employment Requirements: Education A minimum of college diploma in business administration, commerce, economics or equivalent is required. Experience A minimum of three years of proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management is required. Skills Thorough understanding of costing metrics and proven results obtaining cost reductions in purchasing area. Procurement experience and proficiency in identifying supplier qualification, negotiating, contracting, and cost analyzing. Solid managerial experience involving shipping, receiving, warehouse, and inventory. municator with an ability to use an appropriate assortment of verbal, written and presentation strategies. Knowledge of manufacturing and product engineering, trade regulations, testing protocol, product integrity, production timeline, calendar management, etc. Able to make decisions taking into consideration an array of perspectives. Good time management, with ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines. Excellent analytical skills with ability to make sound mendations. Good organizational, time management, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills. Proven leadership ability. Results oriented. Detail oriented.
