Logging Truck Driver

Martushev Logging Limited is looking for five (5) Logging Truck Driver’s to add to our growing team! Job duties: • Operate a primarily tractor-trailer, bination vehicle and straight-body trucks weighing over 4500 KG to transport logging material over long distances • Plan logistics and obtain proper documentation for transporting goods and materials • Perform pre-trip, during route, and post-trip inspection of vehicle and trailer including tires, lights, and turning signals, and brakes • Ensure material is secured properly to flat decks in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting materials • Obtain special permits and other documents required • Produce and administer bills of lading and maintain log books • Communicate with dispatcher and other drivers and logistics personnel where required using puters munication systems Education requirements • Completion of secondary school or equivalent • Completion of MELT program or equivalent • Class 1 drivers license Work experience • 3-5 years of direct transport driver experience • Experience with winter road conditions and familiarity with Canadian road ways is an asset Wage and hours: $30.00 per hour for 40 hours per week Work location: 2953 33 Avenue, Whitecourt, AB T7S 0E4
