I am a professionally educated Level 3 Early Childhood Development worker! I have been running a successful Educational preschool based Licensed Family day home for 11 years, and plan to do it for many more.
2022-2023 School Year *Kindergarten & Before and After School Care with transportation to Schools Mary Hanley
The day home is situated in SE Edmonton just off Whitemud or Anthony Henday, in the neighbourhood of Silverberry. Close neighbourhoods- Laurel, Jackson Heights, Wild Rose, Burnewood, Meadows, Tamarack, Millwoods, Ellerslie,and Summerside. Grey Nuns.
Listed are just a few things which I am dedicated to providing for your child: -Christian Values -Minimal toys out at once(see pictures), I sanitize toys, and equipment daily, mandatory mask wearing - Maximum 6 children in care- for one on one care -Healthy Home cooked meals and snacks are provided -Large fenced backyard with sandbox, swing set, playhouse and ride on toys; park close by -Lots of toys and open ended materials in storage- all toys are washed and clean and are out to play, based on children's interests -Early Childhood curriculum – fun and developmental daily activities/ themes planned (indoor/outdoor), holiday celebrations, and special days- to support developmental es of children -Monthly field trips/weekly trips to the library/ educational playgroups, Festival of Trees, bowling, different parks in the city, Zoo, museum, bowling, sledding, bike rides, fire hall, ravine -Daily exposure to reading, exercise, rhymes, Christian bible teaching principles, dramatic play, open-ended materials, letters, numbers, songs- music, puzzles, games, art, baking, cooking, life skills and more -bright large playroom with lots of clean, organized toys- (whole house is used for Day home) -Smoke, scent & pet free environment
And for the parents: -Hours-Mon- Fri- 7:00 am-5:00 pm -Experience with children ages newborn-12 years -Subsidy available -through Agency -Police Clearance -Child Intervention -Child Care First aid/CPR level B -Educated Professional with Early Learning and Child Care Diploma
Hours per month Educator Fees per month 1-79 hours $10/hr. (under 80 hrs/ mnth.) 80- 119 hours $680 (20 hrs per wk/mnth.) 120-169 hours $880 (30hrs per wk/mnth.) 170-199 hours $930 (40hrs per wk/mnth.) Over 200 hours $980 (over 46hrs wk/mnth.)
**The AGENCY also charges $123 per month.
The rates are based on the number of hours your child is in my care per month. The 2nd child’s agency fee rate is reduced by $55 per month over 80 hours a month. SUBSIDY is available.
