Purchased directly from EcoTextiles (Organic Textiles), California, U*S*A, received in mid-July 2019.
Bought a few latex mattress layers to build custom mattress, tried this one for a couple of weeks, decided to go with different firmness. Paid CAD $521 total, with PreyPal 2.5% conversion fees and shipping added.
Latex supplier for EcoTextiles is located in Sri-Lanka, and provides certified organic production latex only. The good thing, unlike any other topper or mattress, these last 20-25 years without sagging and offer nice cloud-like support; The not-so-good thing, they are never cheap. But then, any foam topper or mattress will start to sag in the first 3 months, the longer, the worse; foams also produce non-healthy fumes.
This layer is best used as bed's top layer for those who like to sleep on their sides or stomach. But, if you are a student on a tight budget, you can use it as single layer mattress on top of bed foundation, or even put it directly on the floor, for sound, chemical-free sleeping. This will save your spine.
The condition is like new, as we always use Gokart waterproof mattress protector (from IKEA). Clean, bug-free, smoke-free, has been stored sealed in plastic since September 2019. The price is the lowest possible, these mattress toppers cannot be had cheaper than this. The price *in Canada* for brand new mattress topper of this quality (non-blended natural Dunlop, certified organic) is 1.5-3 times this price, depending on seller.
Blended things are cheaper, but are unpredictable in quality and can start to sag/fail quickly; do your own research if you wish. Also please note that manufacturers like to call mattresses "latex" when they contain at least 10% of latex of unknown quality in them. Myrbacka from IKEA is a good example.
