Large Metal Toys – Police

This listing is for two large toys, a police car, and a motorcycle cop. Neither has any markings as to the manufacturer however from researching them I am confident they were made in Japan. Both these toys would be 55+ years old. They appear to be a rare toy, at least for Canada. The police car body, interior, and frame are pressed metal (tin?) with lithographed decals. The siren, wipers, and steering wheel are plastic. Rubber tires on metal axles, free rotation. The rear axle has a mechanism attached which creates a ‘siren’ sound, rotates the light, and moves the wipers; all still functional. There is minor paint scuffing from play and storage. It is missing the rear radio antenna and front right door handle. I imagine my parents were quite happy when I did not play with this due to the siren noise! The motorcycle policeman needs repair. The motorcycle is a pressed metal (tin?) frame and body as is the policeman. Decaling / detail is lithographed on the metal. The tires are solid rubber on metal axles, freely rotate. The antenna may be raised (about 1”), it is pictured in the ‘down’ position. The windscreen and headlight are plastic. Two 1.5v ‘C’ batteries are required to power the automation, consisting of the policeman turning the bike (front wheel swivels) and the headlight operating. There may be a siren sound, but I don’t remember. What needs repair is the policeman’s mechanics, minimally, a string that connects the moving arms to the torso. The upper body (torso / head) are currently free moving and should not be. There is some metal connection work also (base and front tire cowling). There is paint scuffs and tarnish around the headlight and wheel hubs. I will sell these two toys separately for $300.00 each.
