Skin on frame touring kayak built with loving care as a retirement project using official PBK plans a few years ago. Always stored inside and in perfect condition. I even have some paint left for touch ups when/if needed.
LENGTH . 15' BEAM 32" COCKPIT LENGTH 7' DRAFT ~6" CAPACITY 600 LBS. WEIGHT 54lbs incl. removable floorboards and seat back.
Coated in Dacron/Xynole/Epoxy (not simply canvas as the original design was) providing a much stronger skin.
This frame design has always been noted for it's stability and sea-worthiness.
Separate seat back position fasteners for solo paddling.
Complete with 2 MEC self inflating seat cushions and 2 Carlisle Magic paddles.
It includes a safety kit (required by regulations that includes noise device (pea-less whistle), waterproof flashlight, bailer, and buoyant heaving line), then as long as you have PFDs you are ready to legally go out on the water!
You only need a car with a roof rack. I will include a Malone Stax Pro attachment designed for carrying 2 kayaks but can be used for a single kayak to better secure it on the roof. es with straps, instructions etc. to help you get the kayak home.
