They made nice things in the 80's. This slim profile JVC receiver sounds incredibly good. It's bare bones design, no extras, short signal path, clear beautiful sound, and that's what I like about it. For the size, it's unbeatable, because with the right speakers it sounds so much better than all mini systems. The best speakers match for best possible sound: bookshelf size 8 Ohms. Pair RX-150BK with something like Tannoy C-6 or Minimus-7 and you will be in sonic heaven.
