The Quickset Light TPMS Reset Tool is the ideal tool for the DIYer who wishes to reset the TPMS light himself, after having changed or rotated tires, or replaced a dead TPMS sensor. This simple TPMS relearn tool transfers the new TPMS sensor ID’s into the vehicle’s ECU (Electronic Control Unit). The Quickset TPMS reset tool can store two sets of wheels for each car (summer and winter tires) and is limited to four cars.
ATEQ Quickset TPMS Reset Tool Operation Instructions • Install desktop software from CD provided with your Quickset. • Launch the Quickset software and follow the on-screen instructions. Programming Sensor IDs:
Steps Involved: 1. Install the PC software 2. Connect the unit to your PC using the USB cable (Included) 3. Select your vehicle using the PC software 4. Unplug the Tool and go to your vehicle 5. Connect the Tool to your OBDII port (usually located under the dash) 6. Turn the key to ON without starting the car (cars with push button, press the bottom twice without pressing the brake pedal). Press winter or summer on the Quickset tool according to the TPMS sensor IDs stored into your car. a. If there are no IDs in the unit, it will download the IDs from the ECU b. If IDs were written to the unit, it will program those IDs in the ECU 7. Connect the tool back to puter and download the IDs to the software. 8. For new sensors, take the IDs off the sensor before installation and add the IDs using the software.. 9. Connect the Quickset back to your OBDII port, turn the ignition ON and load your new set of TPMS sensor IDSs to the vehicle by pressing the summer or winter button. Disconnect the Tool and drive the vehicle for a few kilometers until the TPMS light turns off.
