My name is Shannon and I am a licensed and registered early childhood educator. I have been working in the field of child care for over 9 years with children of all age groups. I am registered annually with the College of Early Childhood Educators. I am First-aid & CPR-C certified with a clear police vulnerable sector check. Rest assured, your child will be well taken care of. This is a very unique opportunity that I am able to offer families as I have recently decided to move out of a larger classroom and start up my very own smaller size class.
I will be proving quality care to a maximum of 5 children. This will be a wonderful experience for your child. This small classroom size provides 1-1 engagement to allow your child to learn and flourish. I will be applying my child philosophy to my programming that children learn through play. As an educator, I will be attentive, engaging, and fun. The environment will be safe, clean and filled with learning opportunities. The environment will be a safe space where you child will be able to learn at their own pace. When children learn through play they are given the opportunity to make mistakes but learn solutions through cause and effect. As an experienced educator, my role is to encourage your child to take chances and provide age appropriate activities that provoke your child's natural curiosity. Through participation, your child will learn how to reflect and reach conclusions, regulate attention and behaviour and enhance problem solving skills.

I will be doing the grand opening to my new beautiful, quality home child care centre on May 22nd 2023.
I am currently accepting children today. Please keep in mind that spaces are very limited and will likely fill up fast.
