Herreshoff Haven 12.6 (16 Feet) with Custom Trailer, Reduced

This is a Herreshoff Haven 12.5 Class Boat. She is 16 Feet over all and 12.5 Feet at the waterline. She is planked with Canadian white pine over steam bent white oak frames. There is not one knot in the planking. (one plank will need to be replaced. The transom and trim are all mahogany. The spars are made of Sitka spruce with white oak jaws and newly refinished with bright with coats of varnish.
The boat is gaff rigged, sails are As New, buff colored Dacron with ash hoops and lacing on the booms. All fastenings are silicon bronze. The Hardware, cleats, fittings and all the pulley blocks are bronze with ball bearings by J.M. Reineck & Son of Hull, Maine. (with a List price of $6812 USD). (See the following link)
The boat is equipped with a hand operated Gusher Whale Pump to empty the bilge of rain-water. Once the planking tightens up she takes on very little water. A set of oars are saddled under the benches port & starboard. A 6 ft. pike pole with a bronze head is also included.
A custom built Sunbrella cover is included and will protect your bright finish and sails from U.V. and rain water.
Also Included is a custom built trailer with 15” wheels, constructed to go anywhere.
As the boat was stored outdoors for several years under a tarpaulin cover, the deck has suffered and since been removed but all the Framing is in good condition and ready for your new deck and coaming. The hull will need be resealed below the waterline.
Note that two of the pictures show the old deck which has been removed and new decks will need to be built of ½” marine plywood on the foredeck and the ½” T & G red cedar on the aft deck. Both decks will need to be covered with 12 oz. canvas imbedded in paint and painted over.
If you are looking for a beautiful day sailor and a well-constructed class boat that sails like a dream and is reasonably priced, this is the boat for you.
Granted there is some work to be done before you can go sailing but thats part of the fun of Sailing. The boat will fit in a single or double garage while you are working.
