Job Title: Chef/Manager Location: East Sooke, BC Job Type: Full-Time
Our new farm-to-table food truck is seeking a Chef/Manager to operate our on-site food truck located in the East Sooke area, 30 minutes from Victoria, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for daily operations, food preparation, menu creation, supply ordering and receiving, creating delicious food and sauces, as well as hiring and supervising staff.
Responsibilities: Overseeing the daily operations of the food truck, including the preparation of high-quality, farm-to-table food. Developing menus that reflect the local, seasonal produce, and dietary restrictions. Ordering and receiving supplies to ensure adequate inventory and proper food storage. Creating and preparing unique, delicious dishes and sauces that showcase local produce. Hiring and supervising staff, including training and ensuring adherence to food safety regulations and service standards.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen or food truck operation. Strong personal skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team. Entrepreneurial attitude with a passion for the food industry and a desire to stay up-to-date with new culinary trends. Excellent organizational and time management skills. munication and interpersonal skills. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
