Window Haworthia Cooperi Succulent, 4" Pot
If you tell me those are art made of jade, I would have believed you. Each of those beautiful “bead” is a succulent leaf of Haworthia cooperi. This plant also belongs to a group of plants that’s called “window plants” because their transparent leaf tips. This beautiful morphology in fact has significant adaptive advantages because they grow in places with very very strong sunlight. No matter how much plants like sunlight, there’s a threshold of brightness a plant can tolerate. Those window plants grow mostly buried by sand with only these transparent tips above the ground to capture the sunlight so that their tissues won’t get “sun brunt”.
