This 2 piece woodturned birdhouse is turned from White Ash, which es apart for easy clean out of the old nest in fall or early spring. es with a large hook for hanging from a tree.
Features brass furniture handle for a perch, vintage cabochons around the roof and green and white roses
38 inches long by 7inches dia. Nesting cavity is 4 inches wide by 6inches deep with a 1 1/4 inches entrance hole Suitable for chickadees, warblers, nuthatches and smaller species of woodpeckers (Measurements are approximate).
Finished with shaded green stain. Can easily recoat within a couple years time, or let it weather naturally for a rustic gray look.
Nesting cavity is left unfinished and rough (like the inside of an old rotten tree) so baby birds can more easily climb out to make that first flight
Each birdhouse is uniquely handmade in Hamilton Ontario. No 2 birdhouses are the same.
