My parents beautiful fully furnished 14x14 Master bedroom. EVERYTHING included (cable, high speed internet, washer/dryer, car plug, bike shed etc). Must get along with my 82 yo mom with Alzheimers, and our 2 dogs. Price can be reduced if you would like to do weekly cleaning. 7 minute walk to Con College, 15 minute walk to LU. Directly across the street at Northwood Mall are: bus stop, No Frills, PizzaPizza, Tim Hortons, Dollarama, Shoppers, Menchies and Janzens. Car in Driveway parking with block heater plugin, and bicycle shed storage. Available immediately if you want to give a good cleaning, or room will be professionally cleaned by Aug 29th, but if you wish to move in earlier, you are e to use the vacuum, Pet Pro 2 Carpet Shampooer etc, may offer rent discount for you to do that. All high quality furniture including sewing machine if you know how to sew. Could do friends alterations to help your budget. The MOST IMPORTANT RENTAL FACTOR is how well my mom takes to you, and how well you get along with my mother. Rent reductions possible for a very good match with my mom. One other slightly smaller room is available also main floor with my mom, and one basement room for someone that appreciates a cooler environment, ideally someone from up north, or someone that grew up in a basement room that likes our cold winters and finds 22'C just too hot, and prefers 18’C like myself ! Warm slippers and a thick housecoat make basement living possible. Absolutely NO electric heaters permitted due to the possibility of burning the house down and killing my mom in the fire. Possible home cooked breakfasts and suppers could be provided for extra cost per meal if you choose to partake. Dinner meals will be eaten with my mom and I, whenever possible, as more human contact is better for her Alzheimer’s. ( Just think that you are pretending that you are one of our family!!) First and Last required, as well as at least 1 reference. If you have a dog, it must get along well with our dogs (9 yo Pomeranian and 10 week old puppy) on first meeting, otherwise not. Bonus points if you enjoy singing Karaoke, because my mom loves music and music is very good for Alzheimer’s people !! :) Meat Loaf (the singing superstar, not the food) gains triple bonus points !! :) Essentially, you are being invited into our family. Many updates will happen thanks to the rental e. One of the top of my list is replacing the old simple bathtub with a hot tub type bathtub. I think this will be just what my mom will find very therapeutic and you will get to enjoy the benefit of all of these upgrades as well !! Non-smokers only, or, if you are a really good match, then you may only smoke outside or in your vehicle.
