Kefir, aka Kefyr, Tibetan Milk Mushroom or Bulgaros, is similar to yogurt, but much better in providing probiotics (far more beneficial bacteria). It makes your tummy happy! This symbiotic yeast/bacteria colony is similar to a pet that takes your love as milk and returns it as lactose-reduced, highly nutritious goodness :)

I am not giving away the drink but rather what you add to milk or water to make it. The minimum quantity is 1 tsp but so far it was always significantly more than that. These grains are very active, you don't need large quantities to start as they will grow and multiply with use. The grains are alive and similar to a pet which you feed and feeds you back :)

These grains may be converted to water grains (for Kombucha) but converting water grains into milk grains is impossible, which makes these kefir milk grains the ultimate starter! These are big grains grown with organic cow milk packed in a Ziploc bag (when mailed) or equivalent tightly closed plastic container (when delivered or picked up).

RECOMMENDED USE Add milk 10 to 1 by volume and keep at room temperature, in a covered (but not fully closed) container for 8-24 hours, then filter out the grains and repeat. You may then add some fruit for flavoring in a second fermentation of a few hours, or even more milk (Russian method) and control the fizz by how tightly to close the container. The cost associated with pick up is $5 as long as municate efficiently and $10 otherwise (for free delivery or mailing please see the page linked below). I am generally available 9-9:30am, 3-4pm or around 8-9pm, and I might be able to meet at other times as well.

SHIPPING I could ship an envelope of the Ziploc bag 1-2 tsp grains (usually 2+, guaranteed 1) and fresh milk packaged in some protective cardboard at my expense if you follow the procedure in the linked page. That would cover an envelope with regular postage. If you prefer expedited or tracked mail, please pay for the extra cost in advance. Please note that I would not be responsible for mail delays. However, buyers located in rural Ontario, Ottawa, Quebec and Nova Scotia reported that their grains were received quickly and were alive. It is possible to get free shipping with the offer described in the page linked at the end of the ad. There you can also find the email address for the payment. I will message you with proof of sending in the form of a photo of the envelope before sending.
