"For forty years, Margaret Bourke-White was one of America's best-known photojournalists...This richly illustrated biography includes many of her classic images - among them the portrait of Gandhi (she was the last journalist to interview him). Here also are examples of her innovative early work that led publisher Henry Luce to engage her in 1929 as Fortune magazine's first photographer, and later as a member of LIFE magazine's original staff. (LIFE magazine's first cover was of the Fort Peck Dam - photographed by Bourke-White." The superb images are printed in both sepia and black and white.
The book is in good used condition. There is a very small dark spot on cover. Black cloth covers with gold printing. Internal pages are clean, unmarked, and well-bound. The dust jacket is present, the top edge is tattered and has taped tears. Please see scans.
