In a moment, I will tell you two vital qualifications that will answer that question. First, let me tell you how I got started into this: When I got out of high school, my 1st job was working at Hobart as an electrical technician. Several years later I worked at a Pizza Hut in Cranbrook BC and ended up buying it and ran it for 27years. I worked for Sysco foods for a few years and did some other outside sales gigs until, in 2016 I walked into Western Restaurant Supplies & Liquidation. The previous owner (who started the business in 2005) wanted to retire and My wife Leah & I purchased the business. The previous owner worked with us for 30 days to train us and was available by phone after that. So, here are my two questions to see if you would qualify to run this business: 1. Do you mercial quality kitchen stuff? 2. Are you willing to learn? If you answer “YES” to both those questions you QUALIFY! The knowledge and skills my wife & I brought to the business were different than the previous owners’. Your skills will be different than ours. There is huge opportunity to significantly grow this business; for example, if you check our website, ratings on Google and advertising on social media you will see it has a lot of room for improvement. This is not an oversight. One of my personal weaknesses is to invest in employees and empower them to do a lot of what I do, so if I improved those things without having the ability to handle more business I fear we would be overwhelmed and not provide the high standard of service we do now.
